DAAD offers scholarships for postgraduate degrees at German universities within the programme "Development-related Postgraduate Courses".

There is no age limit; however, the most previous academic degree must not be older than 6 years at the time of application. The applicant needs a Bachelors degree with at least second upper, 1 year work experience in the field of the course (at the time of application) and has to be employed. We request a letter from the employer granting a study leave.

The courses are in the fields of:

  • Economic Sciences/ Business Administration/Political Economics,
  • Development Co-operation
  • Engineering and related sciences
  • Mathematics
  • Regional Planning
  • Agricultural and Forest Sciences
  • Environmental Sciences
  • Public Health
  • Education

Applications:

  • NEW: Applications MUST be submitted to the university offering the respective course directly, usually around mid October (please confirm on university's website)! Neither the DAAD Offices nor the German Embassies will receive applications anymore!
