AAU Staff Exchange Programme (Regional Guest Professorship)
Objectives
The objectives of this programme are to promote inter-university co-operation through academic mobility and to enhance the quality of teaching and research in African universities.
DAAD co-operates with the AAU in the allocation of funding each year to AAU’s African Staff Exchange Programme with respect to teaching assignments, courses and seminars to which credits are allocated.
Eligibility
Participants in the programme must be nominated by AAU member institutions needing their services, indicating what the duties and functions will be, including expected period and duration, and are granted leave of absence by their home institutions for the purpose of teaching at the guest institution. The duration of a teaching assignment may extend from at least two weeks to three months. Female applicants will be especially encouraged to participate in the Programme.
