These are associations formed by DAAD alumni in their respective countries and are recognized by national law. They are independent organisations which autonomously govern their own affairs, their set up and their specific objectives.
Support for DAAD Alumni Associations
Alumni associations can apply for support to carry out the following activities:
- Provide advice and information for prospective students and for graduates of German higher education institutions living or working in their home country.
- Cultivate contacts between alumni, encourage subject-specific exchange between alumni and offer continuing education for alumni.
- Provide advice and counselling for German scholarship holders, academics and scientists working or studying in their country.
